Generally, if a person fails to appear in court on the date and time listed on the traffic ticket, the court will issue a warrant for your arrest.  If this happens you will be subject to arrest by police at any time. In fact, you may be arrested if you appear at the court window to pay your fine or attempt to have your warrant removed.
